The comfort will decrease after they eventually break, as the fit will not be as good. The velour pads are quite comfortable (but can get a bit dusty). Regarding comfort, there is not much to say. The first time it broke it was still under the warranty of 2 years (give by the local shop), but breaking is considered user abuse and it is not covered by the warranty (I did not ask, but I did not have to). Mine broke in 3 point (2 of them are the same but in the opposite side), and I fixed it, but the fit will not be the same. HOWEVER (and this is a big however), the plastique is of poor quality and it will for sure break sooner or later. It can make some noise touching the ear cups, but you can always adjust the volume with the computer (this is digital volume only). The volume adjustment of the back of the left ear cup is quite easily reachable, you do not have to search for the volume adjustment in the cable, as it happens in other headphones. If you do not want to use an headphone amp of something like that, the USB is definitely stronger then a 3.5mm jack that can bend quite easily with a firmer pull. One of the things I like about this headphones is that they plug via USB. I used them for everything: Movies, Gaming, Music, YouTube videos, and so on. I used them for about 3 years, almost daily.
